Carmen's Italian Ice & Cafe

it really doesn't get much better than carmen's on a hot summer day. it's like Rita's but with better flavors. and guess what? you can buy $30 worth of ice for $15 on living social today! Thanks Crystal for the heads up. I just bought mine :)

Small Gelatis: half cherry half mango & strawberry lemonade with vanilla custard

i always ask for mine with no custard on the bottom for a bigger ice ratio. These are 3 of the best flavors, but I love cherry most cuz it has cherry bits!

small berry cherry gelati

pretty good for trying something new, but sweeter than cherry and no bits.

  1. I usually get the "flavor of the day" tart yogurt (blueberry/melon/etc).

For ice I think mango is the best

  3. I'm going to have to try cherry next time. I always avoid cherry flavor things because i'm afraid of that artificial cough medicine flavor. but cherries happen to be my favorite fruit when its natural, so if it has cherry bits, it sounds like something i'd like =)

  5. crystal- i like blue too but carmen's blue is kind of weak. better in a powerade or snow cones :P

cheryl- i'm not sure if you'll like cherry. like you i love cherries and don't like artificial cough medicine cherries EXCEPT in cherry life savers and luden's cough drops. carmen's cherry is closer to those than the real fruit. but the good thing is they are very generous with the samples. come visit again. it'll be on me! :)

red- hahahah.. "don't know how to eat watermelon" just doesn't translate right in english!
